Even if you really know your subway as I do, it is so useful, easy to use and effective, its a must buy. And to have the schedules will keep you from getting warm-sick in the summer waiting for your train..Also terrific to have the real time information with the trans website.. Good job.

I live in NYC and can fully recommend this app to anyone whos about to go there! Clearly 5 stars - very well done. Ive been using it for half a year now and it always kept me posted on service alarms and what not.
Very good and easy to use! Helped a lot to get around in NYC!
Easy to find offline connections between stations (bus is not included). The current postion or adress work only omline. Streetmaps are not included. If you can work online, google map is better.
I just moved to NYC a couple of weeks ago... Without that tool I would have been lost a dozen times up to know!!! Incredibly usefull is especially the often mentioned fact that it also works offline... Great if you dont have a data plan!!! -> Perfect for locals & tourists... Get it!!!

Some bad moments

After contacting app support numerous times with little or no reply, and no problem resolution, I switched to Kickmap. I used to rely on iTrans for the push alerts, and suddenly after software updates, they would randomly stop working. After waiting a couple months with no resolution and a single message from support saying they were "aware of the problem," I found another app that has worked perfectly since day 1. Maybe its since been resolved, but I cant have that happening. The maps still work and trip planning works fine if thats all you need.
1 star for the pretty map. 0 stars for reliability. Whats the point of having/ paying for an app that is worthless? It doesnt link in any way to real time clocks at the station and frequently I arrive at the station with delay signs on the clock and nothing running, but itrans has told me trains were coming in 2, 7, 11 mins and counting down as though trains were running. Its worthless. Save your money and get a free app. Oh, and the developer NEVER responds to emails or questions.
Been using this app for years with little issue, however, there is something wrong on the server-side of the app. It can no longer display live train arrival times and new service changes. Very recent issue, too, but it cannot be fixed until the developer resolves the issue manually.
The app is not working AGAIN. "Error loading live departures." This time for four days in a row. Is anyone working on this app anymore? This happens way too often. It goes down for days, then somehow it works again for awhile. Its borderline too undependable at this point. I will be looking for another app soon.
What is the deal? Advisories arent loading for a week! I usually love this app and swear by it but something with the server is messed up now. Update please!
Used to be good. Never gets updated. emails to support dont get answered. issues dont get fixed. Schedule changes are not reflected for months if at all. Seems a shame. Developer should sell the app to someone that is willing to at least maintain it.
